Sucraid or other enzyme replacement for sucrose for all phenotypes is required for this recipe.
|Monte's Tamarind Syrup|
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup corn syrup
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (McCormack's)
1 tablespoon tamarind paste
3 bags any flavor herbal tea
Combine and bring to boil all ingredients except seltzer water. Strain out tamarind and any loose herbal tea leaves. Store in 1/2 pint mason jars with tight sealing lids. To serve mix 1/3 cup tamarind syrup with 8 ounces seltzer water.
