Pam's Almond Green Beans | |
Ingredients 1 pound fresh green beans or 1 16-oz package frozen green beans 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup honey 1/2 cup slivered almonds 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon salt Pinch of black pepper Directions Toast almonds on cookie sheet at 350 degrees until just slightly brown (easy to burn). Reserve. Mix remaining ingredient in 2 quart sauce pan and bring to boil. Cook 5-10 minutes until tender. Drain. Serve hot and top with almonds. Makes 4 servings. Use Side dish |
